What People are Saying

Catalyst4 has helped me understand that I am not defined by my past – that I can prove myself. This experience has shown me that Catalyst4 and others believe in me, and in my ability to make a fresh start.

We hear statements like this from Catalyst4 trainees a lot – and we’re always glad to hear more from trainees, and from others in the community, about how we’re doing in carrying out our Mission and Vision.

We’re honored that the Lehigh Valley Military Affairs Council (LVMAC) describes Catalyst4 as “an innovative initiative,” saying it’s a great example of bringing together all sorts of existing organizations in “holistic collaborations [to solve] profound societal issues.” (Read more at the LVMAC website.)

Overall, we think our trainees say it best. At the conclusion of our month-long sessions, we ask for feedback from our Catalyst4 trainees about their experiences and what they gained from the program. See what they’ve had to say, in their own words:

  • Thank you to everyone involved in the Catalyst program – I really enjoyed and appreciated it.

  • Have your aspirations/dreams changed since you began the class?

My aspirations and dreams have changed. [Now, I aspire to] learn about things I don’t know and stay to get the experience about [them].

  • What was the best part of the class?

Knowing that there is an opportunity for recovering addicts to change, and [to] utilize our talents and flexibility to start a venture – and giving us the tools and knowledge to pursue it.

  • What impact has the class had on you?

Learning that I can do anything as long as I am willing.

  • What impact has the Catalyst4 class had on you?

Waking up my thoughts on my future. I also got a better understanding of the power of having a mindset open to opportunities and always being ready to take action toward a better life today as well as in the future.

  • Has your mindset changed? If so, in what way(s)?

It changed from being content with what I am doing today towards looking and being more aware of the opportunities that are presented to me […] and taking action along with awareness.

  • What impact has the class had on you?

[It’s shown me] how everyday people can make big things change and progress forward in the world.

  • What impact has the class had on you?

[It] made me want to attain my goals and dreams even more.

  • Have your aspirations/dreams changed since you began the class?

Yes, its helped me to think on a bigger scale of what I want to do in my life and realize a lot is possible with the right help.
